|
|
Hi all,
I've just purchased this HAZET t/box...
Anyone know what it's for, and what year it is?
Also, how hard/costly is it to track down tools for it?
Thanks, N. _________________ the3rdrock.com - …musings, discoveries and postulating, by a restless itinerant in search of enlightenment.

The decal under the lid despicts the tool kit as a 1952-55 model. But Hazet didn't really change the decal to often so it can possibly be for 1956-60 as well. The only difference would be the #2561 tool. Pre '55 had a single 36mm wrench end. In 1956-60 kits, the #2561 tool was dbl ended with a 21mm & 36mm ends. But needless to say, it is a 36hp-era tool kit since it has the 14mm T- handle fuel pump wrench.
As for locating tools, it's extremly difficult to gather all the correct tools. It can easily take over 5 years just searching. It's alot easier (& cheaper) if you bought tool kits with the tools you need and sold off the remaining tools that aren't needed. I once purchased 4 tool kits ranging in price between $250-$400 just to assemble one kit for my car. After it was all done, I sold off the kits & extra tools and had only invested $262 for my now complete kit |

Thanks RareAir.
I've had a look at the classifieds, but what would you put the value at?

The value of an empty tool kit? I'd figure $75-$150 is more than reasonable for an empty kit. |

Was there a Hazet Tool Kit for a 67 Bug? If so does anyone have some pictures they could share of a 67 with the corect Hazet Tool Kit that would be great. I'd like to find the right kit but I'm nort sure what the correct tools are for a 67 kit. |
