Makes perfect sense. "Okrasa" is a city in Japan, isn't it? |

to me that is an $8k Coupe
$3k for the actual car, add up to $5k for the (untested) Okrasa & history?
i'm not too hot on Okrasa prices tho' - i thought $6-7k buys you a rebuilt Okrasa unit???
bodywork looks poor, full of filler, probably hiding a multitude of sins
& am i right in that rust /filler was on the front wing lip? they just don't rust there (and i've had some rusty UK cars) - unless they've been hit
imagine stripping it down & doing a full resto (which it needs)
lots of $$$$$£££££!
nice Coupe when it's done though, IF done right!
Rarefinds - yours are nicer Coupes!
Broady - that other LL - if you post filth like that again on here i hope one of the Adminstrators has a quiet word _________________ -StockRocks- |

I have seen used Okrasa's go for about 5k. Rebuilding one yourself cost me a few K's north of that. Purchasing a rebuilt units from known Okrasa' builders will cost a few more K's north of that. That is if you can find the key Okrasa parts.
Nice car but it is hiding some issues. Hopefully they just didn't bondo over the rust years ago and its is a few isolated areas. I was thinking about 9k with the Okrasa, as long as it is not hiding serious cancer.

I checked out the e-bay link and that ghia is in my town... I had seen it driving around and thought "woah - red lowlight!" but it sounded crappy idling at the stop sign and actually looked like a hack job resto by a non-VW person. I can't believe the buy now at 10 K. Maybe 3,000 tops if they put in a full tank of gas and changed the oil for you. That's damn funny. What a junker! But it IS a lowlight.... but it's been severly bastardized, poor thing. |

I called about this car the first time it was on E bay. A very nice woman talked to me about the car. She had no real knowledge of the car except her dad bought it while stationed in Europe. She said he loved the car but sadly passed away some six months ago. The original description of the motor was incorrect listing it as a 2.5 liter displacement. Anyway she stated the car was sold for $12K and was awaiting payment from a car dealer. That was about a month ago. Enough time for the dealer to go through it and relist it. |
