It took forever but now its here!
A couple things I cant locate on the samba or at so23westfalia..
Pictures of the closet door mirror up close, and maybe how its attached...
Pictures of correct aux heater, it still has exhaust and cleaner bracket, but no heater...
Also front emblem, salmon or the white?
Thanks for the info-links etc..Im sure there will be more questions to come.
more pics in the gallery

Homie finally got out of the hospital / answered the phone / emailed you back / etc.??
Took him long enough, but it looks sweet. Talk to Al about the mirror. I'm sure you can check out the one in his SO-23.
Did you get the tent too? If not, you know where to ask right?
Whites right on the emblem, but I'd roll the red one, it looks better |

one down, thanks.
best part was it breaking down 3 times on the way home (thanksgiving morning)...restored in 97 and has sat ever since....ever bolt loose!!
shift linkage put back together with duct tape on side of hwy 4
coil fell off fan housing...more duct tape
and then the kicker...fuel pump pin worked its way out....
been torque'in and tweakin since.
email me if you get a chance to count your tent stock, one is needed _________________ WWW.WESTCOASTBULLIES.COM

Big Jeff,
The front emblem should be white because it's an early(60's) Westy thing! If it was a kombi it would be sealing wax. anudrS023 |

Jeff the mirror on your SO23 is a long with an oval top and bottom. The mirror is attached by 2 special brass screws with nuts that go THRU the glass. The mirror on my mango is history but the screws are still present.
Still no tent huh... damn those fillipino tent hourders!!! a red and white ..ah yes I know the one. |

If you get them up in the gallery, I'm sure some other "Johnny on the spot" will get them to show up in this thread.
Based on the pictures in Eccles book, I just can't figure out where the spare is hidden on your '61. |

Not that I know of. It takes awhile for products to cross the ocean cheaply. I got my copy direct from the author for contributing photos of Jimmy's '56 and my '81 Westy, as well as providing other US camper contacts. Both of our Westies made the back cover too! |
