How about these.. never seen another set (but I'd probably buy them too if anyone can find me some more )
Duralite brand 3pc wheels, originally 16x?front and 16x12 rears.. 911 turbo offsets I think.
I've done a little work to them to fit them on my super.

What do people think of these Strosek wheels made by BBS. Available in a few PCD's, but also 5x130(seeing Strosek is a Porsche Tuning company).

I was a bit 50/50 on them so didn't bid. I'm already building one set of different 17's for my car, so wasn't game enough to grab a second set. The price was just a touch high for me anyway. _________________ '54 Beetle - current

I am running Keizer's and CCW on our 74 Carrera PCA E/stock car. these are custom made wheels that are currently available from the manufacturer. neither are that attractive but they are made to order to get the offsets I needed to fit 15x8 and 9 under the fenders.

Getting some new shoes (5x130 Ronal Kleeblat) for my bus.... be shipped from finishing shop this week.
Polished lip
Finish = Cerakote
Color = Satin Mag (code = H-147, light grey with a very fine metallic)
Picked up some (new) original style chrome center caps w/Ronal decals from German eBay to finish them off.

That is a nice looking wheel and the polished lip makes it look even better. Won't be fun to clean, though. |

The geometry of the wheel is a general cleaning pain... but, that's part of why I went with Cerakote... vs. paint or powdercoat. It's a highly chemical resistant ceramic application & is supposed to wipe clean very easily. They use it a lot for gun finishes (high abrasion resistance).
Not such a big deal for wheels... but it's also good for tight tolerance applications (thin film thickness). _________________ aka: Evan

Technically not aftermarket but they are made by ATS for Porsche. 15"x6" 50et with im pretty sure 15mm spacers all around. Wrapped with Falken Ziex 512s in 185-65-15 tires. Going on 1970 Karmann Ghia. Adjustable stock width beam.

So many years later, I've started back on my 70 Coupe project. Body is back on the vehicle and I have plenty of clearance between wheel and fenders. Easily have more than 1.5" clearance in the rear and more than 1" in the front.
The actual offset of wheel is 53mm (not 50mm) and the spacers are 6mm (not 15mm), so they are 47mm (not 35mm).
Will replace 6mm spacer with 25mm spacer in rear to make rear 28mm offset.
Will add drop spindles in front plus 10mm or 15mm to make front 37mm or 32mm offset. Should still give decent fender clearance. Updated pics to come.
Exciting times ahead.... |
