My first bug back in 1983. Spun out in front of a 70's station wagon tank during a slight left turn. The back of the bug broke loose and I did a 360 in front of the on coming wagon. It's left front bumper went down the side of the bug.
Running new Michelin 135 radials up front and bald bia's plys in back wasn't the best decision ever...
Walked away from the accident uninjured. The bug was stripped and the hulk taken to the junkyard. RIP bug. _________________ Contact me at [email protected]

LOL! The funnier thing is I wasn't even wearing a seat belt. The momentum of the spin pulled me over towards the passenger seat. The drivers door after impact was where my left side of my body would have been.
Clearly it was my lucky day. Amazing that any of us survived our youth.
BTW, I do wear seat belts now. _________________ Contact me at [email protected]

My old Baja Ghia after I rolled it out in the desert. Hardly any damage due to the sand.
After I rolled it on Fiesta Island.
