Er, I guess maybe it is really aluminum? I saw this on ebay and was wondering if this is a homebuilt special or a kit? Thought it was unusual and was curious.

It's surely homebuilt. Probably by someone in the aerospace industry. That's a lot of metalwork. _________________ OG JHC

I tend to think it was homemade also. While I am not big on the style...I think its a great idea. The aluminium will never rust and is not brittle like fiberglass. I also think by looking at the welds etc..whoever built it had a good grip on what they were doing. The metal is very nicely formed. The welds look TIG and very well done. I'll agree with Unlce Bob on the aerospace idea. Too bad the looks arent there. _________________ The honey-do list put my project on hold....... |

Yep, a lot of work went into that strange vehicle...It definitely looks like the same techniques used to build aircraft- shop project for some aircraft repair/fabrication guys? _________________ '74 412 wagon
