The love of my life ordered me a mesh grey seat cover for my back seat and new front door panels for my bus. The seat cover arrived but the panels didn't make it. The guy that she ordered through was gone the week before Christmas so she was really upset that she didn't have anything for me. I told it was not anything to worry about since I was just happy to be with her. So I held off on giving her the goodies I got her for her Squareback. That way we can have a special VW day.

Oh and for my birthday she is helping me buy a BekoWa rack...whoo-hoo!

Volksaddict must not have been naughty; santa was pretty good to him.
I guess that I can count the free, rusted out 1960 bus I got two and one-half weeks ago as a present to myself. Very Happy

And I got the hula girl I wanted in the VW club gift x-change. I bought it, but I traded what I got to the person who got the hula doll. So I sorta bought it for myself. Laughing

want to trade in-laws? all mine could conjure up is $50.00 cash..not that i mind the cash, but its pretty pathetic as any gift. they have known me for a little over 9 yrs and this is what they came up with... Rolling Eyes here is a list of my hobbies- VW's (a little thought and there you go- some pretty thoughtful gifts- hell, i'd take those books), Drawing (hmmm, sketch books, pencils, pens, etc), Printmaking (Paper, Inks, books), the list goes on...and I gave the mother in-law a 3'H print, matted and framed for Mothers Day..So, if you can't put a little thought into it- keep the f'n cash..

oh- they gave my 13 yr old a total of $140.00 in cash...unfucking-believable... Rolling Eyes Rolling Eyes (double eye-roll), because they didn't know what he likes..i can't stand people that can't think a little :fist:

I got a Home Depot gift card ( I think that was a hint to finish my garage) and a Zenon LED flashlight. I also got a toy bus from the MIL and a t-shirt with a deluxe bus on the front (she found it in a skater shop)

The only bus related item I got was the new bus calendar that I get every year. I was pissed when I saw what busses he chose this year. I can't even look at January without saying to myself "holy sh!t, what kinda crack was that guy on?"

JascWagen--
Back in the '70s, three of us headed up to Washington from California to go to Olympia Nat'l. Park, then meet two friends at North Cascades Nat'l. Park. On the way, we stopped at the Olympia brewery and took the tour. There was free beer, afterwards, and the woman who was with us was under 21 years of age, so I got the glasses of draft beer: dark Oly. Very Happy I went back to get glasses of beer four more times, and the last time the man said "Let's make this for the road." Confused Did you ever go there?
By the way, the parks were great.
