Gary just sent me this pic.

I am glad I decided to do it in black, even though it's not a factory color I believe it looks awsome. I am defiantly looking forward to reuniting it with wheel.

If I had sold the car it would have gone with it. But decided to hang in there and finish it. Wink

What's the approx value of a ring in that unrestored shape as in picture?

Have one, but don't have the steering wheel... The chanse of stumbling on a wheel without the ring is probably minimal, why I have thought of selling the ring... But I'm not sure it's value... Perhaps it's worh keeping? If not to trade with some other rare part that I may need in the future...

Well, I don't have the steering wheel. (I have the 2 spoke petri with that ring & the greek lady hornpush though, that also need restoring, but car is in a nice untouched condition so i'll probably keep it a bit rough...)

I have two options;
1) keep the ring until I find a matching wheel - then restore the ring
2) trade the ring fore someting I need, or sell it.
In case 2, what is the value of it? I'd rather trade it for some other rare part. Mostly rare parts can only be traded or bought for too much...

This is my only ans "Opinion" As the owner of a pealit with a good ring I would pay 100-150 for your ring so I have a spare. If you find a person that has the wheel you'll be able to pull down more of course. Place and ad for Best offer? If you can't find a buyer my offer stands. BTW I only paid 200 for my wheel complete...... Very Happy
