OK this thing's sorta a repost but I saw it yesterday at the Volksworld show. I heard lots of "interesting" comments when people were looking at it. Paint finish is rather special, think tar underseal with paint over the top.
There were a few others worth of posting here too;
This one has just been imported and is apparently the only one in Europe. I want it!
These guys were cooking out of two cut down beetles, painted to match the towing buses behind;
Good use of Morris Minor van doors;
This:
Is in the back of this;
Overall look was quite cool but some of the engineering was "interesting" like uncovered fusebox by the engine, think I'd move that somewhere dryer. _________________

I have another abortion to add. I know its just a baja, but it got me thinking. Most of the cars I own are abortions..
New baja..exhaust is coming off..
My 63 needs no explaination..
My 66 F250 is a 66 chassis with a 64 F100 cab and a 68 390 out of who knows..
My rubicon has cj-7 mirrors and front turn signals along with flat fenders..
The westy just has a bad rattle can paint job, does that count? Just thought I'd share... _________________ 63 T1 Ragtop Gulf Blue

That's a nice little Radio Flyer electric scooter there! Probably safer than a gas engine, wouldn't want to go too fast in that! _________________ Two Bugs-

Hey Bunglebus, I had a good look round that Transformer bus on Saturday as well and just couldn't fathom it out. One side the wheel arches were smooth-ish, the other side they were very textured, same as the paint around the windows, one side OK (ish), the other side had wrinkled up like a shrinky-dink.
Perhaps it had been near to a fire or something. I'm not sure, but I don't think it's a runner and I didn't see it in Chertsey on the way to work this morning, so maybe it sold? |

Its been up there for years. It used to be a VW repair shop across the street from Island VW (long closed). _________________ Glenn

I was going to say we can only hope the engine is too, but that looks like a normal ACVW engine in there, which must mean that's an oil cooler swingin' in the wind there... Odd placement. Those tail lights make it look like a shuttle-bus, think sci-fi not airport! SpaceBalls anyone? _________________ Two Bugs-

Since I am within 30 miles of these amazing specimens, I feel I should apologize for what is coming out of Athol. Sometimes it happens. We just have to accept an embarrassing moment now and then.
I have to wonder if the seller's name is Richard? _________________ nothing |
