I think this pic was taken outside the very First AMG Shop at Alfalterbach,Germany. The guy on the far right looks to be , Hans Werner Aufrecht , the 'A' in AMG.

on pinterest it is captioned as
'At the workshop of Kurt Bergmann in Essling, a region in 1220 Vienna - Austria. A short VW Bus snow plow built by Jo Gartner (white coat).'

Herr aufrecht might take issue with you saying he is on the far right... Wink

Ok here is the last video, shows the turning radius ( not great ). I would start a thread but I'm not sure where to post it. I'll get a ruling and post the build.

This would kinda work if it had a narrowed bonnet and maybe front wings

That Goblin Works car... I laughed so hard watching that. Especially near the end when they drove it in the mud and the sides and whole interior were covered. Rolling Eyes

Brazil did not have factory convertibles so they they were made by coachbuilders. this looks to have been done quite nicely.

The price is absurd, of course. and then there are people who think everything made outside of a VW factory is an abortion, and Brazil is a country particularly guilty in this respect. In this case however I'd prefer to consider the car itself as something made to satisfy a market demand that VW wasn't keen to satisfy, just as in europe coachbuilders modified mexi beetles into convertibles through the 80's.

I'd concede that it may have a place in this topic.
