Some think that if your beetle has a padded dash, it's an engine donor. Some think that if it has push button door handles, it's a boat anchor.

I'm all for creativity but those proportions are just so . . . so . . .

It feels like the inspiration may have been a 1940 Ford coupe. The rear window doesn't look quite centered either.

It looks disappointed by it's own existence.

Looks like it was made out of a child’s race car bed.

The Truckstarossa is so dumb it's actually kinda cool. If it had a type 3 or 4 engine so the bed was usable it'd be fun to haul my vintage Italian scooters around in. If I had F-you money I'd swap an actual Ferrari engine into it.

I guess he got REALLY tired of finicky 6-volt electrics!

Looks like a funny setup shot using an unused trolley mechanism that was hanging free in a maintenance yard.
Hopefully they ensured it was not live first!

I'm not seeing any wires attached, so I think it's just sitting on the roof of the Bug, otherwise agreed!

They should have just swapped the late engine into the caddy.
