I was manning the fire at Andy's shindig the night before the Yuma show. Once word got out that I had just bought a fatchick single cab truck, a group of fatchick lovers inducted me into the "Save the Bays" club.
"Okay!" I said. Well, I thought "why not just check this club out?". I did and this is what I stumbled upon: www.savethebays.com

y'know, there's more domains out there than just the .com stuff. Try www.savethebays.org. It still might be what you call "hippie crap", but it's VW related. |

Hate to break the news guys but I actually know a few of the STB folks and I can tell you they are far from that typical Hippie stuff.
Sorry just gotta give the club props. Good bunch of guys (only met a few so this could be one sided). The guys I met sat around a fire, ate Carne Asada and drank till the aircooled stories where done (no dope smokin around that fire ring). Then we got up and started it all over again. Talkin buses thats what there about. _________________ Celer, Silens, Letalis

That be the Stricktly Vintage 2s bus club in California. Mother ship is in San Diego and there are several outposts around the state. _________________ Larry in OB

Well, well, well... Haven't we been busy?
To answer some of the Qs:
No, we're not "show only" folks. Oh, you'll see lots and lots of STB stickered Bays at shows all over the world. But we don't sponsor the shows, no. Like a familiar voice already said - we go to the shows because we love our Bay Windows. Stop by. Have a frosty one. Let's talk buses.
The free (yes, free for the asking, postage paid - FREE) STB window sticker is our little way of enhancing the Bay community. We have shipped thousands worldwide, and the sun does not set on an STB window sticker. That's it! Nothing more or less. A stupid sticker letting you know that there's support and help for your Bay.
Hippies? I'm sure there are a few hundred STB hippies. Doctors? Yup. Biologists? Yep. Computer nerds? Uh-huh. Cashiers? Yes. Domestic Engineers? Of course! School Teachers? Janitors? Janitees? VW Bay Window parts suppliers? Well, yes. All proudly wear a new or faded STB! sticker on their Bays.
So if you want a place to start, order up a sticker. Then, if you need help with your precious Bay, you look at your sticker, key those letters into your web browser (remember - .ORG !!!), and if we can't help, we'll help find a place that can. No dues. No meetings. No bu||.

Oh, before I forget.
Let it be known that, because of those looking for last minute holiday gift ideas (or so we would like to think), we temporarily ran out of STB! window stickers last week. We are hopefully getting another batch next week.
Go ahead and request 'em, though! You'll get 'em shortly after we do.
