It's not a club, it's a world wide movement. Spread the word "Save the Bays".

Has it been six years?

Some people have been asking me for Save the Bays stickers. At Buses By the Bridge, I talked to some people with that group, but none of them had stickers. Are these availabe anywhere anymore, from anybody? The STB web site seems to have gone away.

Mike, the sticker guru, was at the event, but forgot the stickers. I'm not sure about the site. I'll look into it.

Keep in mind that STB is a loosely-knit organization and we aren't all that businesslike. Smile

Last year at BBB (2014) the STB folks were walking around looking at the bay window buses and leaving stickers for the bay owners in their wake. I fly my STB sticker proudly. Cool

And bring back the CV joint challenge! I won once. but only because the guy that wins it every year was not there to defend his title. I would come in second to him every time. I want another crack at him! Laughing

True dat. Same for our group, the Gold Country Campers. As Static, one of our founders, put it: "No membership, no dues, no officers, and precious little common sense."

But is there an actual contact person for STB now, one that can field sticker requests?

I normally run that, but this year I didn't have a suitable prize so decided to give it a rest.

I'll bring it back next year if there is interest.

Line up the contestants, give each a locked CV joint, the first who can get it apart and then assemble it correctly wins.

Maybe next year I'll grease the joints. Twisted Evil

Oh that sounds amazing!

And cruel, if you decide to go that route. Twisted Evil

The last one I participated in was was a fully dis-assembled CV joint in a box The first one to put it together correctly wins. The year I won I was timed at 11.5 seconds. Gotta be fast! Wink

Hi all. Anybody know if any STB stickers still exist? I tried to email Mike Visket and both e-mails I had came back as undeliverable. His mechanic, Tim Caves, told me Mike was retiring and moving out of state. I wish him all the luck.
If this is the case is there anyone that wants to see if stickers can be reproduced? I guess there would have to be a demand.
Thanks in advance, Bill.

How much interest is there in reproducing the stickers? And does anyone see/have any problems with it? Once upon a time, they had the files available to the public on their site for anyone to reproduce.

(Also, if anyone has access to said files..)

If needed for this project (reproducing stickers) I am pretty sure I have a few in a box that I picked up at Buses by the Bridge in 2003 that never got put on my bus.

I can dig around if needed.

Hi. I don't know about the files. I can go chat with Tim Caves and ask if Mike is still in the area and if he had ownership to the decal. I have a couple of new decals and in Los Angeles there are some shops that can probably duplicate.
Just don't have any idea of the demand for this decal even tho there is a huge network here with the Bay brothers/sisters.
Bill.

If you could scan one at a really high DPI and upload, I can reproduce!

I have a couple that I never put on a bus. The cat got ahold of one and chewed on it, the other is perfect. I'll scan it at work and send it to you.
