Lies. Probably on purpose to fleece the unsuspecting.
I feel like this is beating a dead horse, but a restoration means restoring it, not customizing it. There is no "concours accurate" part of this double cab. The generally accepted definition "this should mean that not only is everything shiny and in excellent condition but it is restored accurately, or as close to the way the original creator intended as possible" wasn't part of the equation when this DC was pieced back together. |
All of that money and time spent, and the bumpers are still crooked. |
if your looking for another reason to cry this was an og paint sealing wax dc |

Forgot about the major details I guess. |
This comment wins IMHO. I'm stealing it for later.
I looked at the Truck again and the mismatch of colors is really bugging me.
Window frames are the lower paint color, overhead vent/blockoff plate/parcel tray/gate latches are the opposite color
Black shifter and e-brake but white column and wheel
It remind me of some expensive houses for sale in my town where everything is super expensive and probably top quality stuff but the people made the worst possible design and color choices. Nouveau Riche vs. Old Money _________________ How to Post Photos

we looked at some "modern" houses from the 80s here in Atlanta. I personally like black tile bathrooms, black flooring, black showers, sinks, and toilets, glass walls, no doors, etc, but certainly not everybody's cup of tea...

For anyone genuinely interested in the 1961 Double Cab, I can reassure you that it is a quality restoration and may not be everyone's desired style, but to each is own. I also apologize for the incorrect engine displacement. To confirm, it is a 2110cc. As for my choice of descriptive words, well, make of it what you want. For more photos, go to the builders website or Facebook page. www.likuidkreations.com Also, if anyone has questions about the Double Cab or has childish comments, feel free to call me. |

Good on you for coming in here to let us know about the truck. But it is most definitely NOT a restoration.
Most folks can appreciate a good custom build of any vehicle, and for the most part yours looks well built. But please, do not call it a restoration. _________________ nothing |

NOS 1500 muffler in classifieds:

Assuming this really is a 1500cc muffler, I wonder if this is industrial?
Np upper heater boxes and it doesn't have the little tab for the dampener on the left side and it looks like it has mountings for the "triangle" on both sides instead of the left side only.
Another NOS 1500cc exhaust from the Gallery:
|
1500 mufflers have the bigger preheat return like the one on the bottom picture.
The top picture is likely a 40hp industrial muffler. A stale air 40 would have different length J-tube inlets. _________________ .

terrible photos for selling a vehicle and used car salesman rhetoric to boot! And in ALL CAPS! |

Seems that way, but this one's in the "top five of classic car brokers", I wasn't aware that was even a thing. Google knows nothing of such a list. _________________ Rust NEVER sleeps and stock never goes out of style.

I like that, of all the pictures he could have posted - and not including for an upgraded ad with even more pictures - he includes a picture of presumably himself...I wonder if that’s a real selling point I’ve overlooked hahaha. _________________ ,,Wenige Menschen denken, und doch wollen alle entscheiden.'' -der Alte Fritz

doesn't he know that you are supposed to confuse your buyers verbally with the fancy talk and not put it down verbatim in the ad. Other people are going to learn his tricks, start eating his lunch and pretty soon he will only be in the top twenty classic car brokers. Next, he might get de-listed, lose his flipper card and have to go back to selling time shares and questionable investments.
