its supposed to be VIN 295 858 according to their website.
looks very Brazil to me and with some strong "something is rotten" smell |
Not sure it's Brazilian. I have yet to see a Brazilian bus with the early 58 and older 3 rib pressed overhead vent box like this one has. But don't be live its a true 23 window either. Sunroof looks odd. And from the b pillars forward look like the nose is dropping like all the Columbian barndoors. |
Birth Certificate in ad says Peru.
My theory:
It's real but has had massive repairs done without attention to correct or original details _________________ How to Post Photos

Not a Whine but when I first saw this ad:
1967 Double Cab Pickup Price: 48 K
https://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=2395693
All the text said was:
This 1967 Velvet Green DC was completely taken apart painted and reassembled.
I laughed because it looks super nice and that was so simple I was thought "Damn, why say anything more, the pics speak for the truck."
One thing - I think the tires might be Bug size though? They look small. |
What !? No wood slats in the bed ???? Sorry But I'd only go $45K.....
That is a nice doublecab. _________________ Tom

1965 SUPER RARE Westfalia SO44 German Made camper Price: 15000
Yes, they are super rare (and IMHO the most desirable for comfortable camping), but there is very little to show of the SO44 kit and the bus itself is quite rusty.
I think the estimate of 40 making their way to the US and 10 existing today in the US might be a little understated. |

I scanned the comments and it looks like the bidding went crazy at the end |
Weird that it has the earlier, non-humpback backrest support as well as the adjustable, correct ones. You can see it on the passenger-side picture at least. They must not have had a correct seat bottom? For $122,000, get the right shit! _________________ ,,Wenige Menschen denken, und doch wollen alle entscheiden.'' -der Alte Fritz

I noticed that.
It's a hump seat Bus.
Non-Hump seat up front and they added the lower rear supports - Hump seats don't have those as you mentioned.
A lot of the glass was wrong and mismatched too but that was mentioned in the ad text. _________________ How to Post Photos
