Meh I feel like that’s the reason most of the time. Some people just want to pimp what they have and not really let it go. Make offer is like, “I’m not really letting my NOS (insert stupid part) go, I just want to you know I have it.
A lot of the mangled/used/nos hubcaps listed on this site are a perfect example. |

NO price is better than "make offer."
You list something for sale, put a dang price on it already. If you don't know what it's worth start high and lower the price until you get a few bites.
These people are the equivalent of the guy that sets out "bait" at shows for a stupid price that they know nobody will pay, just to get some eyes on the rest of the junk they want to unload. |
No price, make offer is the same to me. Feels like a baited trap of frustration.

It is not hard to win that bet when you price something at 3 times over top dollar. Also, most people who are serious customers to buy something will not make an offer of less than 30% of asking price as that is usually considered insulting, even when someone has posted an insultingly high price. |
Correct, I almost never contact someone if it's so overpriced I can't understand it.
I might watch the ad waiting for price drop(s) though.

That's him in the background in the white shirt. Many on here knew him way better than I did. He was a fixture for many years as the guy at the SoCal shows to get a bite to eat.

Interesting that it’s an A23 yet has the cooler and drivers side rear cabinet. A23 didn’t come with those, so they must have added it or ordered it separately.
It’s cool how complete it is and the rare bits seem to be original.
The rust hole in the rockers takes it out of the concour catergoey I’d think.

The dynamat is pretty lame, especially when they could have got the same effect or even better by shoving a sleeping bag under the rear seat. At least it is kinda hidden.
Some people just can't handle old cars so they try to make them more modern until they eventually just bail on them and leave it to the next guy to make it more original again.
