Trippy rack.
Should the "bus" be posted in the cut wheel wells thread? |

Everyone needs to report this bus on ebay as a fraud. With a fake story about coming out of a 20 year old Vermont collection, unless brazil has a Vermont. down at the bottom I came across this bus, wasn't this the 15w someone plucked off of craigslist super cheap? This guy definitely started his own whine.

I seriously doubt he found someone to fix all the rust and paint that thing for 17k. dude must work for 25 cents an hour and all the water he can drink... at least he took the time to clean it up before he posted it for sale |

I see a couple things I would correct like the weird license light but it's not messed up like a lot of high dollar 23s. |
The 1958 decklid is a bummer, as well as several other things. _________________ Please check us out on Instagram at @holygrailgarage

It's a November 1960 bus, so sometimes people call that a '60, though I'd call it a '61.

I agree with Everett. Yes, you could improve some items, but it's still a nice bus.
The pictures were well done; you can even read the glass logos in some of them. I want a better camera.
I thought it positive that they didn't install a 1776 with aftermarket tin.
Did you notice the carb? |

Oh, I missed that, that explains the wacky license plate light mess _________________ How to Post Photos

I think that carb would be correct for a stale air 40hp wouldn't it? |

Here's the engine pic for reference
The vacuum tube is tweaked out too.
I can't figure out where the breather hose is hooked to on the air cleaner end, maybe the air cleaner has an extra connection pipe added?
I've seen that a few times on air cleaners _________________ How to Post Photos

For the cost of a house shouldn't that be in absolute perfect condition as it was when it drove off the factory floor? _________________ www.vwnos.com [email protected]
Classic Brands. Classic Quality.
Not all parts are made the same. NOS OE/OEM parts made mainly in West Germany, Early Germany, and Early Brazil are where VW produced the best quality parts and best fitting products.

That is odd. I don't think a stale air, November of '60 bus, 40hp would have a breather anyway, right? _________________ Your Vanagon sucks, Stop waving at me.

Just my guesses here....
I think that might be a 1966/67 Ghia air cleaner element... like these ones.
But, there's another pic of the bus engine that shows the breather hose going pretty much where the "added" port is... up in the post by mandraks, above ^^.
... and the pre-heat is hooked up to an a-la 1967 style heater box set up... but opposite side:
