Agreed, might be a few thou off but no way will not sell for a bit over $20k. People want that much for rusty piles of garbage.

Brag about it! Cool I'm kicking myself for that one time I didn't have $3k for that "one" double cab way back when.... Being young and broke sure is coming back to haunt me now that I'm old and VW broke. Ha!

Is it just me or does the pre restoration pic look like this thing was in a major ( Columbian Barndoor style ) front end collision? my curiosity was further peaked when I noticed there wasn't a single post restoration pic with the front doors closed

That nose wasn’t replaced. It was carved. Look at the shadows on beltline. That shiny paint is just an attempt to Barrett-Jackson you.

Those doors look suspiciously high in the rear which is usually the case when a bus has had major damage and the repair job was less the desirable. also the door gap at the top of the forward cargo door looks wide. IDK.. maybe its the photo angle but definitely one I would see in person if i was interested....which by the way would require him to reduce the price by about 15k Laughing Laughing Laughing

The work-friendly way of giving a VW guy an unsolicited BJ.

I remember looking at a complete 21 sitting on a trailer by the 5 Fwy in SanteFe springs. Guy wanted $3200. I said, "um, no thanks.". This was probably '99-'00. In about '04/05 I passed on a slightly worn but totally complete(minus tent) PW SO42 poptop. $1600 asking. Passed again. I had/have an incomplete one, but was too stupid to buy the one and sell the other. I'm such a moron. I did pick up a single for cheap in '11 so I have learned my lesson. I'm sure we've all done it(passed on busses)...well, us married ones anyway Wink

Not only have I and everyone else done similar, but if you keep one, two or three where do you store it? That was always my problem. No where to store two or three buses.

My wife let me buy buy a nice home with a under-the-house seven car garage in the basement. I hide all the Buses and bodies in there!

Unfortunately, my beautiful home didn't come with that kind of parking option.
