it looked nice enough at first, but putting the inside doorhandles upside down completely does not say 35 years worth of experience..... _________________ regards

The church key is lying in the parcel tray, scratching the paint, along with a wiper and some other junk.
I might as well add: no rubber pedal pads...or knee protector on the steering column bracket.

All things overlooked by the restorer- but the serious crimes are on the engine. There oughta be an old-fashioned can of whoop arse opened on the guy who rustoleumed the coil to the shroud. Nothing about the engine bay, fuse box and undercarriage is trustworthy. At least they're pictured I guess. _________________

I thought the passenger vent wing latch was missing too but wasn't 100% sure

No pedal pads is weird.
Knee protectors weren't used until later Buses so that's ok _________________ How to Post Photos

Nor should a fuse box be painted but it looks like it was in a doves nest...

I went to the link, looking for a VIN # to verify, but got see sick from the snazzy photography, so poop to that. Is it a '62? Thin(ned)-lip doglegs haha..anyhow, wrong front bumper...14" wheels...DS dogleg drain hole too far forward? Can't remember it being there; I thought it was closer to the B pillar...
Why am I even wasting my time on another one of these...thanks, Crofty! _________________ ,,Wenige Menschen denken, und doch wollen alle entscheiden.'' -der Alte Fritz

This thread is getting a little stale, thought I'd throw these issues up here, just to name a few:
$38.7K https://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=2179195
Crappy TS switch install...
Missing at least one screw to secure the steering column to the bracket...
No seals between the bullet housings and nose panel (probably missing from headlights too)...
No air filter! No rear tin, no engine hatch seal, battery installed incorrectly with cardboard pad...among many other issues...
No wiper shafts??? $38K? |

I wonder if zip-tying the plug wires to the intake causes any issues?
Fuel pump is painted black... that is weird.
No rear tin... that is really bad
Even though it looks freshly painted, the battery is the wrong way and that cardboard? base makes me wonder if the battery tray is rotted out the other way.
Who am I to talk though, my '63 is rocking a piece of plywood there, LOL
Battery is the right way and uses the strap though. _________________ How to Post Photos
