And the photos look more like they were taken in Bolivia than the seller's location in Florida.

Talking about importing my 59 bug that i bought off the og owner almost 20 years ago. It was the only car she every bought and she was a school teacher for the kids on base in germany and when her time was up in 1959 she bought a new bug and had it shipped back to the states in new jersey( i have the receipt) and drove in back to franklin ky. she was still driving it when i finally bought it from her. when she bought the bug she bought an export model so i don't have semi's because she knew she was coming back to the states. the only thing she told them when she bought it was install a gas gauge and it's in german not english.
I ran into an older service man that bought and ordered 63 or 64 bug with a 356 motor he said it was fast.
Now a couple years ago my dad bought a 72 standard bug from texas and it came with a dual relief 40hp that was set up 12v. the only thing we could come up with is there was an army base in that town where we bought the bug. i know they put 40hp in cars for awhile in Europe and the block has the euro code on the block i forgot what that is though. _________________ "asking and getting are two different things" |

My first VW was a 67 European Standard beetle bought from the serviceman who brought it over from Germany. It had a 1300, 6v, early fenders, 67 seats, single circuit brakes, and 67 dash knobs, etc.
Had no idea what it was or that is was even the slightest bit special until after I dechromed it, built the engine bigger, and repainted it. It was 1987 after all. _________________ nothing |

No way I could afford that shit at 16. But I did have 165's all around! And a bitchin' JVC cassette deck with a pair of 6x9's on the back seat.
All that said, in 1990 I bought my first bus (a 65 single cab with 19K miles on it) and haven't looked back. _________________ nothing |

Yes, the ad was posted from Bolivia.

I forgot I had one of those too with one speed wipers and a locking column now when I bought it it had disc brakes all the way around and Porsche wheels. I’ve heard some of those came 4 lug with disc brakes up front and some were 5 lug. _________________ "asking and getting are two different things" |

70k for a meticulously restored bus without any interior and a scoop of some sort on one side? No thanks. |
I can't quite tell, but I think that there is no headliner installed.
That means you get to remove the windows and the door seals to install the headliner. |
I will pipe in since I've seen the bus and
the seller is a stand up individual who does nice work.
I'm pretty sure its a real 21. |

^its nice that the seller has so many items for sale and offers new products and such but I feel he almost needs his own thread on for over-pricededness.
those are like 50-200 dollar items not like 500. |

Exactly. Corey is on the high side but I got $250 for the last one I sold and that was two years ago. Many are missing the hinges/board that attaches it to the wall. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

i seem to remember that starting in 65 you could get IRS in the rear and disk brakes up front, automatic cars i think? all others through 67 were swing axle drums and 4 speed. just from memory, though. then again it has been 20 years that i left germany _________________ regards
