My whine is someone hacked this Doublecab into a "Baja" Truck, kinda sad, Sad and maybe a bit pricey, do to the hack.....
I have seen that truck in person (seller is a friend of mine), and it is a solid truck, except for the missing metal of course. The VIN was cut off, but the M-code plate and the VIN plate are both unmolested. The pictures are terrible, but it is a worthwhile truck in a desirable color. If it were a '65, I probably would have bought the truck.

No kidding. That might be the only sliding door Westy I have ever seen.

For the 82k asking price id like to see the rest of the kit and proof its a real Westy be it ordered or retrofitted by Westfalia.

Spoke with the owner, German delivered (no port code) with a 523xxx paint code makes it seem pretty legit.

He needs to post the mcode plate.

Both bumpers look to be pointed (rear is US spec) and the decklid is 66-67. No electrical plug, bumper tent mount, or rear bumper hole for tent either.

That is a super cool and rare bus. The price seems really high for one that is not restored, but who knows as it is probably one of a kind.

What's up with asking 60K for a project bus like that? I'd honestly say it's a 6K bus.

If you claim the mechanicals are great, why hasn't it driven or stopped in 20 years?

No front bumper tent mount, but has tent mounts on roof. With 523xxx paint code, sounds like a westy. I'd say bumpers were replaced. Does it come with the tent? Pics from back in the day? Paperwork from Westfalia? A bunch of pictures of the bus as it is? What does the interior roof look like? What plaid was og?

People are boldly asking high prices, aren't they?

Whoosh- click Whoosh- click.

I have always wanted a velvet green '65 truck. I would negotiate the price down a bit. It does look much better in person, at least the front half is nice and original paint.

With an, I can't be bothered by the tire kicker attitude, yet your ad is very lacking in detail. Think Rolling Eyes
