I saw that bus (on a trailer) at a gas station here in ohio maybe 5 or so years ago. $5k would be too much for it. It's a big ol turd |
Just a wow novelty to drive into a Good Guys show. Lasts like 10 min, tops. _________________

If Darth Vader drove a VW bus it would be this one.
Here's a link to a video of the bus and the driver if you're interested:

Someone asked what the VW community thought of it. |

Local business logos don’t have the same cache as corporate logos. Hard to imagine anyone paying that much for a logo bus in that condition. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

That thing needs sympathetic rust repair and blend, doors on both sides and to provide me a free vibro cleaning to be a good deal. _________________

Great - the year, color and option: '61 SWR walkthrough
Good - the logos are well done visually with a lot of pop to them
Decent - the subject of the logos
Mediocre - the condition of the logos
Bad - the rust level
Terrible - the amount of work needed to make the bus nice
This could be a monster bus, I don't know which to be more afraid of, the work needed or the price of admission. _________________ .

Have you considered simply starting with a nicer bus? I don't know what your skills are, but the race is easier if you can see the finish line. If you are not a runner, don't start off doing a marathon. |

The overstuffed padding might be necessary if a certain part of your anatomy hurts after paying that much for the chair.
At $2,000, I'd expect an original. In fact the last original I saw was $2,500 and the seller took it home at the end of the swap meet because nobody would open their wallet for it. This was two years ago, and the seller still has it for sale.
Those chairs can be found at flea markets in the $10-$25 range. It takes a long time to find them, but they are cheap when you do find them. My good friend, Eric, gave me two of them a few years ago. (Different Eric from the seller) _________________ .

LOL, for that price, and the complexity that goes with the mods, I think I'd go for a Benz Sprinter from Westfalia and save some money! |
