No vin anywhere on this truck and has frame rot. It is a wolfsburg truck. Also before I knew that I traveled 10 hours to see it for one price…. Once I got there he went up and just wanted a free education on all his stuff. He acquired all the vw stuff through buying property with the vw stash still there. I also didn’t feel comfortable being with the guy on his property either. Good luck

Thanks for the heads up.
It does look like the normal vin area for a wolfsburg truck is there, while the vin area for a later truck would be rusted off. I still wouldn't touch that truck with a ten foot pole.

I've found while working on the Mole, almost all the aftermarket sheet metal needs some amount of modification to fit properly. One instance happened this weekend. I had replaced the lower passenger B pillar section with Wolfsburg West's product before replacing the inner and outer rockers, jack point and dogleg. I've since been working on the doors and after installing the front cargo door to check the fit, when I removed it the nut plate dropped out of sight! This was the first time bolting the door to that piece....
So, lesson learned for those who follow.... check that the nut plate is secure before installing A, B and C pillars! I had to cut into the B pillar from the inside to retrieve the nut plate and then notch the plate and reinstall it, bending the securing tab down into the notch in order to keep it from escaping again.
This pic shows the the nut plate after I notched it compared to what it was before. If you have ever seen an original, it is much different in the way it is secured. Unfortunately, I didn't have one to compare to, but had a replacement that shows what they look like before I made the notch.
This pic shows where I cut into the B pillar and how the securing strap is too loose to hold the plate. They had a 'dimple' below the plate which I suppose was meant to keep it in place but it was a weak attempt... Once I put the notched plate in, I then bent the strap into the notch to secure it
I hope this post helps someone down the road.... _________________ "My ex-wife had a hint of a beard and she looked like a manly-girl... that made no difference..."

^^ Lots that has been "improved" on that bus not the least of which I suspect is a non original sunroof. I would be inclined to run if the seller can't even tell the difference between velvet green and turqoise.
Lots of not year correct, incomplete etc on that bus too for 90K.
Can't tell if mcode tag is not original but the screws that hold it in sure are not. |

Actually I take back the non original sunroof comment- just saw 235 designation on mcode which would be factory sunroof- still stick by other comments though. If I was going to drop 90K sure would like to see the bus in metalwork stage not just primer |

Rossi headlights. They go with your Wink mirror and Baby Turbo side mirrors. All 80s/90s go fast products you can find here in the Classifieds.

Pretty sure this bus was the one from Montana that sold for around $59K a month back. _________________ Your Vanagon sucks, Stop waving at me.

Could be different, the seller says he's owned since 2011. |

Yep, that's the one. I couldn't find the previous seller on Samba, but it's the identical bus on his IG. Weird...not sure why the seller would try to say he has owned it since 2011 when it just sold. Surely, he would know how identifiable of a bus that is. |

You are both correct. The previous seller was 58euro
You can still see pics of it with the price of $59,900 on his IG with the same stickers on the driver side windows. _________________
