Did all SO-1's come with belly pans? This one appears to have had them. |

Classified ad is now inactive.
Did it get sold whole or did you cut it up? |

Cut up. RIP.
Roof panels. I think they are added in later, hardware and wood doesn't look like westfalia in late 50's.

Update on the bus that started this thread -
Not much has been done except metal *removal*
Now the fun begins...
It's been slow going for sure.

No, the sliding door '66 salesflap is a walkthrough as well. |
I know of a '62 walk thru flap as well.

The walk thru is a previously unknown bus from the PNW.
I bought it recently, but really have no time for it. I took the picture this morning while waiting for the new owner to come pick it up. |

Updated - I still got it!
This bus came from Chadd Magee (when he lived in San Diego) and the sales flap Door from ML I bought at Pomona almost 20 years ago.
I sold it to GB then came back to me. The m-code plate was missing and the Vin numbers where half gone, do to a PO that installed a 1600 with heater boxes and hammer the crap out of the whole engine seal panel. (not Chadd). While the bus was sitting in my backyard a mommy rat move into the heater tube, So I was trying to evict the rats. I was using a air nozzle and blowing from the inside stove pipe to the rear of the bus, I heard a rattle in the upper part of the stove pipe and fished out the m-code plate!
I was able to register the bus!
This morning I found a web page that does M-PLATES uncoding and the one of the m-code numbers are not chiming (360). I know its the Og plate to the bus! The bus is in it original paint and the m-code plate and the bulkhead are the same color (white).
Thank for any help - Larry

Sinner bought it the same day that picture was taken. Probably with in a ½ hour of that picture being taken. HE is the new owner, so any work he is doing is for himself.
I figured I'd never have the 3 of them in the same spot again so I should document it. |

Yup, that's the one, saw it at Skinner's shop. There are plans for it, but I don't want to be the one to reveal any potential secrets! _________________ -Adam

These photos popped up in the Logo/sign thread today. I thought they should also be posted in the sales flap thread. _________________ September 1964 Standard Sunroof walk through SWR/BG original paint. |
