The ground in obscured by the bench seat. As I remember, It's located closer to the bench seat than the drivers side wall on the firewall? below the closet maybe 6-8" off the floor?

Sorry, Not a very good description.

Removing the water tank/cabinet does expose the ECU ground which crumbled when I brushed against it. I should have moved it to a more accessible location instead of repairing it in the original location.

Can you post a pic of that ground location please? There are a number of threads wondering about it.

I think Indytriple has a pretty sweet idea with the gravity-fed MSR Dromedary bag. Low tech, cheap, does what you need and nothing more. I like it. It seems a good option for Weekender folks without a sink at all, or even a hand-wash station hung from outside the van.

Personally, I use the sink only for hand washing and dishes, not for drinking.

But I do like the suggestion of a cap of bleach at every fill up. That may remove the not-so-attractive green growies on the inside of my water lines.

Good thread here, thanks for reviving it.

I cut my water tank in half, welded it back together with nylon rod. Result, more storage AND water.
As to ECU ground location, I dont think it cares where its grounded

I'll take a picture of it when I get in there. Should be in the next few days.

Thanks, CJ. With any of the MSR drom bags I use the MSR Spigot cap (http://www.amazon.com/MSR-Dromedary-Bag-Spigot-Cap/dp/B0000E5KT3) with some 1/2" OD-3/8" ID vinyl hose attached with a fuel hose clamp. I have found that the absolute perfect valve for controlling the flow is a Rubbermaid cooler push-button spigot (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B001K2N46O). A carabiner is a perfect way to hang it in the corner of the pop-top just above the sink or anywhere else.

does anyone know just what the footprint of the space the water tank would otherwise occupy is? I am thinking of putting a battery there.....
