Funny how catching a tiny slice of a song on the radio can get you to dig deep into the pile to bring out an old favorite.
Some loud shop time ensues...

Boppin' and A-Strollin' by Leonard James and his orchestra. Late 1950's instrumental music. Features a guitarist by the name of Malcolm Rebennack who would latter switch to piano and become better known as Dr. John. |

I know it's not an album but just discovered this and am tingling with the soulful vibes and have to share. I don't even like organ music but this noodling is divine...

Not a full album... This Patti Smith cover is killer. Shirley Manson is good but Marissa Paternoster of Screaming Females kills it.

That was excellent. Thanks for sharing.
The gal really rips on the guitar. She looks tiny behind it, but definitely takes command. Love it! _________________ nothing |

A modern twist on old school Thrash. Power Trip on House of Strombo. If you are in a border town and can get the CBC his radio show is great.
