How long will this last at this price? Too bad I just sank a large chunk on a 54 vert or I would be all over it.

Currency conversion + shipping = still a good deal? Anyone know what that would work out to?

I was looking at that too. Hard to tell with only that one pic, but if it is reasonably solid, that is a very good price.

£5000= $8914 +/-

RoRo shipping from Southampton to Baltimore would be about
£1120.00 = $1996 (high but that includes paperwork and all thru a shipping broker), so figure $10,910 sitting in the parking lot in Baltimore waiting for you to pick it up.

damn, rates have gone up. no way a beetle should cost that kinda coin to ship. my beetle was about $1100 southampton to baltimore as a non runner/ToTo. that means tow on tow off. i just shipped a bus to southampton and it was $862. brokers fees included. coad, these east coasters can tell a naive midwesterner a mile a way.

i'd be checking around with quotes like that. ppphhhaaacckkk.

Yup, but I used the rube quote just so I wouldn't be accused of being too low. A smart, experienced, trader like yourself would be in the $900 range for sure.

It looks surprizingly clean to me, at least from what I can see in the pics. Someone is going to get quite a deal.

Here's another split that showed up on E-Gay. Ton of wrong parts but wouldn't feel bad setting it on earlies.

Sweden does not do to to anymore or atleast they stoped about 2 years ago. They may have started again but back then they had just passed new laws.

Does anyone know anymore about the split in the UK for $5000? Other than it was once for sale not long ago.
Assuming that split in England is solid and matching numbers.
If that were for sale over here in the US what do you think it would go for in its current condition?

Anyone have any idea?

I found my 54 vert locally. I am doing some work on it then flippin it for something else. I'm not much of a Vert guy.
I really like that 51 rag and have seen pics on here a few times in the past of it. I think some of the pics were at a VW party of some sort and I think there were more pics in the splitsville thread.
