has anyone tried to reinstall an original deluxe windshield chrome into an
aftermarket deluxe gasket? i salvaged the piece off my 69 when i replaced the old glass and am eager to re-use, if there are no fit issues.

I also have a 69 Deluxe and have to pull the windscreen. The trim looks good. Can I re-use it? Is it more difficult to get this rubber in as aposed to the plain rubber windshield seal?

FOR 35 BUcks id change it out with a new one, it may tear when removing and unless it is fairly new , i think it will leak.

I've used OG chrome in WW seals with no problems.
