Single Cab with a Westfalia Widebed?

I've got a 85 single cab here in east TN. Standard bed though.

There have been a few on thesamba, most from "across the pond", to me the Westfalia wide bed looks just like a regular Singlecab, with diffrent looking gates, maybe 2" wider, not nearly as wide looking as a split window Singlecab with wide bed. They do seem somewhat Rare.

How did I find my truck? Well I didn't even know they exsisted until I went to a show last year here in east TN and saw a Doka, told my buddy that I would love to have one of them! A ouple of weeks later I was looking at vw's on e-bay (first time ever on e-bay} and I found a 85 westy weekender that looked to good to be true. I bid on it and got it and really was to good to be true Crying or Very sad

Anyway now I'm looking everyday to see where I stand on the westy and the next day I saw the single-cab, Very Happy

so I bid my limit and in the last hour had to raise it several times but won it and love it! Guess the reso on my 64 bug can wait another year or two Crying or Very sad

Very cool truck. Do you know where it came from originally (Canada or overseas)?? Thanks for the pics. I'll post some pics of mine once it arrives. Right now it's spending it's last couple nights in it's mother county.
