My May of ‘56 had a sway bar installed. When I found the car, it had been sitting since 1978. Were these sway bars factory installed? Just trying to put together the puzzle. Thank you, Russ

All low lights came with sway bars from the factory. Ghias had a specific sway bar that had indents in it, unlike the beetle sway bar that was straight. There is a 57 Ghia parts book in the technical section on the Samba with the owner manuals and it shows the Ghia sway bar in the first section of the book.

Thank you Loren. I thought so. Jason and I had a brief discussion about it. Just wanted to confirm it wasn’t a later add on.

There is also photos in this forum of a very well done restoration of a 56 that had it as well. Lots of good confirmation and information going around in here. Let’s keep it up. 😜👊
