Hmmm, I'm not sure why that thread is coming up as the email for that seller does not appear anywhere in that thread
BUT, I believe this guy is selling used parts that Bruce has passed on to him.
AFAIK Bruce and friends never had any issues selling used parts.
BUT #2 I don't know if those are originals and I would want to know how to identify them myself as real, unless the price is too good to pass up, even for repros.

the rear of the roof looks to be smashed in.. maybe it's just the photo...i wouldn't say this is a good deal more like market value. I have a titan red 67 standard that way straighter, more solid, and has all three rows of correct seats that I would be over joyed to get that much for |

I finally get to help the topic I enjoy so much! Ordinary, non-broker, non-government registered business Copart members can bid on this. You have to register on Copart through a somewhat intrusive process and make a deposit to give you like a line of credit (via credit card is easiest). This one is "on approval" which means there is a non-disclosed reserve on it.
I've been watching Copart for about a six weeks. This is only the second split bus I have seen. The other was listed simultaneously on Ebay which was kind of odd. About 90 percent of vintage VWs are Bugs with the remaining 10 percent miscellaneous others. There have been about 12 buses listed while I watched Copart but all but two were Bays or Vanagons. |
