this was a dry one but the roof on the front passenger corner looked like some racoons had a dance party up there Laughing Laughing Laughing . it will be headed to Texas.

My buddy was trying to get them for his mango and they replied due to the overwhelming emails they will hold off until they can figure out the value.

Thinking exocubically, that sounds like they want to squeeze it for all it's worth instead of selling it at a good price to someone who actually needs and will use it...but this is not the whine thread. So, imagine reading this over happy music.

Out of curiosity... what would be a fair price for original upholstery in very good (not excellent) condition go for... for recovering that middle and rear seat?

I understand what you mean. If you had a bare frame and wanted to buy the original upholstery only to put over a frame.

I'm not sure but I'd say a couple hundred dollars each for something that could be actually used. For that year and color.

I think it could vary wildly by year and model.

I've paid less for a grey front seat cover backrest but that is probably easier to locate.

I paid 600 for my OG middle and rear seat covers with both kick panels and had the upholstery shop install them on my frames.

This one looks rough, and the price is not crazy, but it is a '61 mouse grey with the mouse grey dash, and early taillights and turn signals. It's an extra cool little slice of rarity.

I can only think of 5 mouse grey dash standards currently known to exist. (There are a similar number of '61 mouse grey flipseat westies known to exist).

Well shoot Mr. B. The seller thought he had just an old bus, but your description of rarity just justified his (pretty well up there) price for a non-titled, needs everything project. Just imagine how little bus you get back from the media blaster...

The seller knows what it is. He posted some pics in the gallery of it a while back.
I think that the premium on rarity is a good percentage of the price. I don't think that any bus that rusty is economically viable to restore, but I am sure someone will do it anyway.
