Now $40,000 with this charming description.
Code: |
21 window bus not runing needs restoration no motor floor pan has rust accepting offers or trade 4 harly bager diesel 4x4 truck bill of sale no plnk serious pepole please to the ignorant people that have no noligy this is not for you ... |
There are detailed photos. That doesnt hurt, but scam? Not sure...certainly scammy language.
Also, I wouldnt say this is a "good deal", so sorry for getting everyone's hopes up with a new post in this thread...I sure watch these replies/thread. _________________ Coming to you from God’s Own Time Zone: Central Time…up near the Illinois/Minnesota border. ** Note I am currently (mostly) INACTIVE in the bus community due to temporary life changes. Maybe I'm paranoid but I would have trouble dropping 40K on something with no title. If it is no problem to get one just get it before the sale. |

What is the expert verdict, is this a good deal at 34,750 plus 1737.50 auction fee = $36,487.50? It sold 4 days ago on Bring a Trailer

I'm going to say the upper end of market value on a w/t so42. The running video was rather unimpressive, paint is a solid 6.5 out of 10. I think for that kind of money the buyer could have done better if he shopped around a little |

I would not agree that $36k is the "upper end" for an SO42 as there have been a couple of really nice original paint and complete SO42s selling for over $50k on this site.
I would agree that $36k might be the upper end on that particular bus as who knows how much metal work needs to be done under that paint. However, the interior is complete for the most part which makes it a lot easier to focus on mechanical and fixing the small things that are incorrect. _________________

yes of course not. I was referring to the upper end for a 42 in that condition. Myself I wouldn't give more than 20k for that bus, but that's just me. I'm from the era when you would buy that bus for $900. long gone as we all know but it makes you look at things with a different perspective than a newby |

I was surprised they reached 36K but then again they may have settled for an offer. The video of it driving was not very desirable.
What is up with this engine?

Exhaust leak. And it needs at least a tune-up. _________________ "My biggest worry is that when I die, my wife will sell all my parts for what I told her I paid for them"-Jon

His update:
***Due to the flood of responses I will work on an update to the ad. More pictures, details about title, and condition, presence of specific parts, etc. There are too many emails with similar information requests to reply to everyone individually at the moment. Once an update is completed I can start responding to more people and considering offers more. Please be patient. The bus is not sold, and your offer will be considered. It will likely be the weekend before I am able to make an update.***

87 emails as of right now, it's either going to be sold today or the price is being driven up! |
