Would depend on the year of the sun visors. Paper and vinyl require different cleaning procedures. Plus it helps to know what might be cleaned off of it. _________________ In Stereo, Where Available! |

If visors are vinyl, do NOT use products like Armor all or others that 'shine' the item up; they do so be drawing plasticizers deeper in the vinyl up to the surface. Plasticizers are what makes plastic, well... plastic! They give the vinyl flex and elasticity, and make it look shinier to boot. Once those chemicals drawn to surface dry out (like the ones that used to be on the surface, which is why the vinyl now looks dried and dull!) you are left with a dull surface and even more-brittle vinyl. It will degrade even faster.
Other products may add plasticizers to surface rather than pull them up, but again, a temporary thing.
Glycerin works well, and will dissolve some stains.
As a fan of Negativland, I use the 409 myself, regardless of consequences... _________________ Craig K
