Hey all,
I have an earlier Bostig conversion that is having a hard time starting. Seems like it is pretty cold blooded - almost never starts on the first try if it's cold at all, and the other day when it was in the single digits I couldn't get it to start even with jump and starter fluid in the intake. And once it starts it often won't idle for a while if it's cold.
Those of you with the Bostig conversion, do you have similar experiences?
Here is more info:
-New ignition coil
-New Spark plugs and wires
-O2 sensor (only ~1 year old)
-New starter (only ~1 year old)
-Fuel pump is ~2 years old (Bosch)
-Timing was checked within the last year
-Fuel injectors were checked within the last year |

I did my first Bostig conversion in 2007. It is completely reliable and never fails to start, even though it occasionally sits for several months at a time between uses.
Give Jim a call at 617-272-3800 and he will get you sorted out quicker and with less guesswork than anyone else could ever hope to. When you talk to him, tell him I said hi. _________________ Jay Brown

Thanks Jay, I kind of forget how friendly and helpful Jim and those guys at Bostig are. Thanks for the reminder. I sent them a message. |
