I know it's better and cheaper by first hand experience. There's a few topics in the past, you can find them through the search for more info |

I recall a thread a while back debating it. I used POR-15 a few years ago. I used the Eastwood rust encapsulator and personally prefer it. The POR-15 requires a lot of prep work that when not done properly sucks. The eastwood stuff is much easier to use in my opinion. _________________ Chuck

You can prime right over Rustbullet. POR15 requires an in between step. |

I have used both and I prefer Rust Bullet. It protects just as well as POR-15 without all the steps. The fumes put off by the POR15 bothered me even with a good organic vapor mask. _________________ Life is a web woven by necessity and chance.

I have used both and also prefer Rustbullet (RB) because it is at least twice as thick and covers pits and holes better and needs NO PREP and can be painted right over (without special primer). POR-15 wouldn't stick to small tar spots under my fenders while RB covered everything and anything. Although POR-15 is more available in most local areas, it was worth the few days mail time for the RB. As far as expense, if you use two thin coats of either, you can get A LOT of coverage out of either so the cost is worth the small investment IMO.
Have fun and WEAR GLOVES (still wearing a few days of both products). _________________ It's simple...treat others as you want to be treated. |

Just to give another option ( hey, it's the American Way) I used Master Series Silver and think it is great. My whole bug will be a testament to it.
Here in Louisiana we'll find out if it's any good in no time.
I pulled my 58 out of the swamps of central LA. ( literally ) So we'll see.
I'm impressed so far. |

Master Series is one I have yet to try but have seen it before on here many times (and heard good things). I am curious about trying it have you done your own comparison with any other products? I wish it were available everywhere like POR-15 now is, I am getting tired of spending so much on shipping.
I will have to add it to my "Next to order" list because there doesn't seem to be a shortage of rust on ANY of my restoration projects
Thanks for chiming in to add your experience with yet another great anti-rust product! This topic is a topic of GREAT importance <National Anthem playing> since we must all unite for the common goal of destroying rust!
