I've had a good old search and cant seem to find an answer to this one!
I'm trying to find out if its possible to adjust the height at which the Westfalia roof sits when popped.
The reason being is that i have just fitted a new canvas which is slightly too slack all round. I am thinking that if we can adjust the height of the roof by about 1cm then that would pull the canvas taught. _________________ My name is Roy |

I replaced my canvass a couple months back with similar concerns It seems to be fitting better although not that "stretched" tight look. I was told over time it will. Keep your eye on it. |

I thought it may get a bit tighter over time, how loose was yours roughly when you first fitted it,Raynor?
Mine is hanging down by about 1cm on each side.

Kevin675, My friend made a platform out of pylwood and some eggcrate mattress stuff. Once your up in the bed you can lay this platform down it woul rest on the side grooves, you end up sealing yourself in the top bunk. He liked the extra few inches it gave him. Maybe something like that would work |

Maybe i am missing something here, but when i replaced my canvas, i just pulled the excess through the top trim bits. Sure there is a bit hangning down, but you can't see it (well, except for the front when the top is popped), and if it really bothered me, i'd just cut it off.
My canvas installed tight and wrinkle free from day one.

I was hoping to avoid having to pull the slack through as i was concerned abou endeing up with an untidy edge at the top. Luckily i have been able to shrink the fabric slightly by soaking it with a hose and drying several times. This seems to have taken a lot of the slack up.
