Looks like it will be going to South Carolina to be brought back to life. It was a hard decision to make to let it go. I know if I was to keep it though it would just end up in the barn for I don't know how many years before I could afford to have it restored. I hope he ends up doing a build thread on here so that I can watch its progress. I'm thinking now that it might actually be a July 1956 bus. _________________ Be happy with what you have, you will save allot of money that way....

Cool !
That seems to be the case w/ the Buses that are found in the RUST ZONE. They can be a cool/rare Bus or a plain Jane Kombi/Panel, and still need a Boat load of Cash to gt it back on the road, which not all Bus hunters have. _________________ Tom

brokevwguy, I hope you mentioned the forums so the new owner can think about posting his new build.

Unreal. It's 2018 - I thought people stopped doing that...to VW buses at least. Badass save! _________________ ,,Wenige Menschen denken, und doch wollen alle entscheiden.'' -der Alte Fritz

Jeez... who would dump that for scrap price?... which is about $120 in DFW area.

That's what I thought I'm just surprised that such a solid straight looking bus has sat there for a longtime and if it's only just arrived, surprised that it would end up there. The tyres certainly don't look like they've rolled recently 😊 |

They said since the 80’s but there were a couple busses. The second one is a 63 kombi with the top of the roof cut off. They had moved them to an area that was not very accessible so they missed a bullet all those years. _________________ GFK

The other was a 63. Roof cut off. Looks to have had a fiberglass top. The floor mat was still good. There was a W deck lid and a 55 beetle bubble taillight too.
