The find? I just happened to see the legs sticking out of a brush pile next to a 1967 Datsun pickup.
The cleanup? Gloves, garbage bags, beer, and a garden hose. Oh, and some simple green. _________________ nothing |

New book idea, "How to Polish a turd"
Looks like chapter one... _________________ ---

Is it fixable or too rusty? |

The bottom frame is in excellent shape, as it was sitting upside down. It could be used for a donor with a bad bottom frame, or it could be rebuilt with good upper parts from something else.
I will not be doing either. That is a turd polishing project for someone with an interest in making it happen. _________________ nothing |

Well I couldn't stop thinking about those buses... I ended up contacting her last year and buying the 4 buses and now I've just about got the last one out. 13 of the 16 drums had to be pulled to gut the brakes. They had to be rolling to get out as there was no way a trailer would ever make it down the driveway!
Anyway the bus is home and it turns out to be a 1964 tourist deliver so-22! It's so rusty and I have absolutely zero of the original westy stuff! What to do... |
Crazy thing. A few years ago I pulled these two 21’s out of that lady’s yard. The parcel tray from your standard is now in my Turkis 15.
It was way down there close to the banks of the Mississippi River. I always hoped someone would come along and rescue that thing.

Uh-oh! Someone else might’ve been working on that one too....maybe he’s hit hitching up the trailer as we speak. _________________ 1962 Turkis Westfalia so34.

I was trying to get a hold of you! They were all wondering what happened to the 21 windows... do you remember seeing any interior pieces in the 11 window when you were looking at it? Any rotten wood? Just curious what it all had left when it found its resting place... _________________ 1971 Chianti Red Westfalia x2

Pulled this 11/56 built 1957 dove blue Kombi yesterday. Pretty solid bus but lots of bondo, been sitting since 1982.

Does it have any camping equipment installed? That lower color looks just like the lower color on the FCG '59 I saved-
Is it kinda buttercream-ish? _________________ "My biggest worry is that when I die, my wife will sell all my parts for what I told her I paid for them"-Jon

It is sort of buttercream-ish, however it has a blue repaint under that from what I can tell. It had some sort of homemade camper kit installed at some point but I doubt that it was ever an actual camper setup. I haven’t started messing with it yet though so I’m sure I’ll learn more once I start cleaning it up. |

A lot of trailers have been made from the rear of a truck along with the axle. Add-a-tongue and voila'...trailer. My dad built his from a Ford Model A. |

Yes, but you gotta cut the frame in half for that to work. _________________ nothing |

Crazy how different it looks just after a week so far. Figured I’d update this thread with the as found pic and after stripping the paint. It’s completely logoed all the way around with logos for a “Village Floral” shop.
