Come on over the party's great, there's more than enough to go round, most in original paint, straight and low mileage. _________________ 1964 Standard

It's like an addicition...
Number 7...
Deluxe, I offered $200. He countered with $300
I insisted he include the....
Middle Seat...
Help me please, I only have 4 acres left to fill!
Now I have all the spare parts I need. Looks like the '60 Standard can now be saved. _________________ Feel My Pain l Sage Ad World |

That is the wrong middle seat for that Bus. I'll buy it and your Bus will be free! |
I bet it will fit my 1962 23 window...(which I paid even less for) _________________ Feel My Pain l Sage Ad World |

Yes, it would be right for that... if it takes a short seat. |
Wouldn't it take the kind of seat with the metal bars instead of the plastic ones?

plastic bars started in mid '61. that seat would be correct if the bus is a model 251, and if its turkis. _________________ .

That's it! I have 2 buses with this interior, so probably enough to put clean panels into the 23 window...
This thing might be worth something when it's done eh?
I got some good new and bad news today...the seller of all these VW's handed me 45 signed titles.
and a coffee can... filled with the keys. Anyone have a week free to try keys in locks? _________________ Feel My Pain l Sage Ad World |

take off the cargo door handle, clean it up and find the key code and match it to the code on the key. quick and simple. _________________ .

If anyone wants to match the keys and vehicles, there's a 412 in it for you... The guy threw it in for free! Is this thing worth anything?

grab the radio out of the dash and conveniently forget to remove the rest of the vehicle and you will be ahead of the game. _________________ .

A day late and a dollar short. I missed this thread and am kicking myself for that.
I would need front cab floor metal and cargo floor above the rocker. Plus I might need a 10" section of the B piller. Maybe next time you run into a find like this I will be more on the ball. _________________ Jerry

Do you need anything off the three junkyard splits Jerry? If so, let me know. I found a bullet bus in the field late last night, will probably spend more time today trying to find it's owner than I will in the junkyard today, so you've still got time. _________________

Saturday we went to pick up the 66 21 window (unfortunately we forgot the camera ) we went off the highway about 3 miles on a dirt road in to the desert and found two more ( appear to be Kombi's) at two seperate houses (if you could call them that) nobody at home at either place, left notes inquiring on them, we will probabally make another trip out there to see what happens. _________________ This is my 23rd year in the Auto Body/Paint Game!

OK, today's bus turned out to be a Kombi. Lots of OG dove blue poking through the respray, which would normally be good, but in this case the respray has some pretty cool logos. Which is a bonus I guess - and I'm relatively certain that there is no other logo'd bus promoting this type of business still around.
Oh yea, the Kombi is a walkthru, appears to be a '59 through early '61. No rear seats, appears to have had 6 popouts though at one time. Got the name of the owners, the neighbor who told me said nothing has been for sale there for a long time, thought I'd follow through anyway though, you never know! Hopefully they're sporting a "we support our troops" sticker on their driver or need some cash TODAY to pay their taxes!
Lots of broken glass, missing a door. Couldn't see the rear of the bus, didn't want to trespass. Took some pics but the lighting is horrible as it's underneath a partial canopy of trees in bright sunlight which mess w/ the lighting. Will go back when it's cloudy if nothing else.
Can't figure out if this is shaping up to be the year of the logo'd bus, or the year of the walkthru Kombi....lol.
It brings up an interesting dilemna, which I've been thinking about since finding the ICE bus. What do you do w/ a logo'd bus if you don't like the colors of the respray (or the logos for that matter), and you really like the OG color(s)? _________________

I would think that if the respray and logo are something that's cool then that's they way it should stay. If not then the original color is the better choice. IMHO. Then you could use the "logo'd buses are played out" line. _________________ Jerry
