Scored these two about a month ago. Both built in november of 59.A mango and a pg/sg under 4 layers of paint.
Im guessing this one used to be drag raced in the day.

The second bus being nov of 59 I highly doubt its a pg/sg. Looks like it was a light gray kombi maybe. That door jam is all one color. Pg/sg stopped as a standard color in 1958. Cool finds though. |

Back in the '90s I had a '66 21 Window Deluxe project that was a whole lot nicer but always at a storage lot. Never got to it and sold in '98 for $1k. Things are different now apparently - at least if you believe this website. I didn't know my musician friend had this - told him I'd bought a pickup last year and said I should buy his bus - assumed he was just a Vanagon/Westy guy. He is - but he's had this since the early '70s.
More floor than my SC
Bumpers, trim, headlights and emblem stashed inside
Like my previous '66 seats were thrown out in half completed camper conversion mode. Two Hehr windows included.
Bondo on rockers is holding things together.
Pop rivets and sheet metal curved to fit under there
DP motor turns - rare optional ABS primary mini fuel tank setup to avoid using main tank
Snow load said to have collapsed roof at some point - hard to believe (unless there were kids running around on top of that snow load). Engine fire many years ago resulted in repaint and devaluation of interior. Bench seat setup in a walkthrough!
