To those of us in the steel runner sled generation, that’s the Holy Grail of sleds. Very cool Tom! _________________ 67 zenith blue sunroof

^^ Imagine back in the day bombing down the hill on that sled without a care in the world and not so much as a helmet on! Nowadays it seems we need to be swaddled in a bubble wrap wear a helmet and sign a waiver and have the sled on a leash! |

All three boys in my family had those Flexable flyer sleds, circa earlie 60's, my Pops was late 30's earlie 40's, we have 2 more of that age, but plain jane no name/script, but still 60-70 years old.

My sister (about 10 at the time) rode down our neighborhood hill on our flexible flyer and went straight out in the evening darkness, crossed a steadily busy highway between cars in both directions and ended up safely wadded up in the brush. I swear I was watching my sister join the hereafter when she went across! It looked like a cartoon where the character gets impossibly towed across opposing traffic! She threaded an impossible needle with that sled.
She was oblivious to the whole thing and doesn't remember any of it. _________________

Have you considered simply starting with a nicer bus? I don't know what your skills are, but the race is easier if you can see the finish line. If you are not a runner, don't start off doing a marathon. |

The way things are going today that looks like a $4000.00 bus. "Great patina" and needs the "usual metal repair" _________________ 67 zenith blue sunroof
