That is the Yellowstone river . I could see all the cars flying across I 90 as we were digging out this old girl..it was conveniently tucked right behind the cabin sitting on the ground there for at least 40 years. You could see the cabin from the interstate but not the bus..pretty crazy. |
Crazy, I know exactly where that is. I have probably driven that stretch of road 75 times in the last 30 years.
What a great find, in a beautiful spot. _________________ nothing |

Great photo. Definitely throw up a pic of the bus before extraction. _________________ RPM=(MPH*336* (R&P*4th*1.26))/Tire Diameter in inches |

So I did a quick look at where I thought this was, and I was wrong. Now that you have it in your possession, care to tell us the location? I thought it was either near Columbus, or Pompey's Pillar, but google earth says no.
This stuff is fun. _________________ nothing |

Especially since you probably drove by it a hundred times |
Yep, but that's OK. It likely wasn't worth getting out of there until just a few years ago. Just glad to see it found and saved.
Also, found it on Google earth. That is a really neat stretch of road. I have stared at that ranch more than once on the middle of a long road trip. My first time by there (as an adult) would have been the fall of 1989. Also went by there in 84 on a family vacation. _________________ nothing |

answers my long standing question whether or not a bullet turkis / turkis dash bus would have had como green door panels with pockets or not. Guess not. _________________ GFK

I'll let him decide if he wants to share that info. Not sure it matters now, but it seems that it's not mine to divulge. _________________ nothing |

I believe the pockets left when they switched to low hinge. never seen a turkis high hinge bus so I would say no |

For those that enjoy google earth searching, if you follow I90 East of Livingston to a point where it makes a near 90 degree turn to the north, there is a ranch on the East side of that turn. The bus and the cabin are in a draw just Northeast of that ranch. _________________ nothing |
