Great score!!
Pics of the m-code plate??

There are two other so-42 pop-tops with factory belly pans that I know of, I used to own one of them. The one I had was also German delivered, steering lock, walkthru, ambulance fans, gas heater etc.

Belly pans is cool, I wonder under what circumstances they did that.

No Ambulance fans on the M-code plate, dealer-added?

Cool find!

The ambulance fans mentioned are on the similar bus with belly pans that I used to own, the m-plate I posted above belongs to that bus.

Sweet find!

Interesting that it's a Tourist Delivery Westy that did not come painted two tone.

I have seen some Canadian delivered buses of random models with belly pans. Of course they are normally on every sunroof and doubledoor bus as well as Binz doublecabs and dormobile topped westies.

Unfortunately, tourist delivery buses don't tell you what dealership they were ordered from. It could be some salesman who thought that they were a good idea and sold them to people who were special ordering buses.

IMO belly pans are indeed a good idea for just about any bus! Makes them stiffer and less noisy. Cool

Might be better in this thread. Also, maybe someone has a screen grab of the bus.

A close friend of the family gave me her split window bus that she got back in college. I have been working with her to get this bus for 10+ years and it happened this weekend, it’s a 60 Mango bus that was converted by a company into a camper in the SF Bay Area in the 70’s. Last reg shows 1982, other than the Jersey look wheel wells and upgraded taillight openings is a solid bus and now part of the family.

It proves two things, they are still out there and there is still good people out in this world. Since there was no way I could just take it for free I made a nice donation to her favorite charity, so hopefully there are some rescue dogs eating good and sleeping on new beds Cool

And one more fact to trip out on, she was a mechanic at a local VW dealership back in 78’ her stories are amazing and very educational.
