I don't mind seeing youtube videos, as long as it is something not mind numbingly stupid. I especially like field/forest/barn finds. Whenever I go bus hunting, there is a certain rush the first time I see a bus, and circle around it a couple times looking at the general condition the first time around, then the specifics the second time around, then crawling through the inside, pretty soon, I am down in the dirt looking up it's skirt. A couple years ago, a buddy of mine found a couple buses. He called me up to come help him get them onto new tires. The first thing I see is the middle seat, held on by it's original wingnuts. Around the back, there are the original bubble taillights, inside there was an NOS front emblem hiding behind the front seat. Maybe it was just a dream.... _________________ .

Yes we all love seeing busses drug out of the woods and have been doing it for years, and posting pics. But posting like you did to get web traffic on your YouTube channel seems like pan handling. Congrats on your find. Just lately someone else, (not you) has been posting crappy videos and self promoting to get money from his channel. It is getting really old and annoying. Yes a find is cool and you'll naturally get traffic to see the video. Just word it differently so it's not so obvious that you want the web traffic. Or make really crappy videos and post a new one every other day. Sorry I jumped on you for it. |
You can ignore the other person's postings if they don't interest you.
If it makes you feel better, I doubt this other person is getting any money from his videos or it's something ridiculous like 5 cents.
It takes A LOT of views to get any money at all on YouTube.
I could be wrong but I think you need a certain number of subscribers and views to even turn on monetization.

About a decade back, a friend of mine showed me a singlecab that he had been given that was half buried in the dirt. I was all like "you should do a time lapse video of digging it out". He did. currently it is at 4.6 million views. He does some great videos.

I think it's about time to block this type of activity on the forums.
Posting videos has its purpose, but self promoting should not have a place in the forums. |

I already apologized to him 4 days ago.. I was annoyed by another poster that keeps posting videos that are absolutely just begging for attention and YouTube traffic. And if you know the videos I'm talking about, others on here are just as annoyed as I am. His videos are like watching a political speech. |

Its true EmpiGt and I are good. And a lot agree with him there is one who post videos that is for lack of better word out of this world. We just decided to ignore it. Its bad for videos that are tastefully down with effort. But heck its a free world we are entitled to make our choices. Hope it just fades away _________________ Certified vw nut

Do as much or little as you want, but in any dry climate, blow all the heater and vents backwards and treat the dust as hazardous considering it might contain hantavirus.
