So i'm looking into this 82, aircooled. It's going to be in need of a rebuild. I figure while I'm at it, i might as well go ahead and spend the extra money for the counterweight.

I've also head that zero balancing can be just as effective, albeit cheaper.

Any opinions? Anyone out there make none welded counterweights that any of you guys have used?

Ran a counterweighted crank for over 80K in my 74 bay,sure made for nice long drives no"buzz" if you can spend the cash then its worth it. sadly my bus died when t-boned by some drunken landscapers. Vanagon next.
