|
|
While I was surfing for parts, I ran across a "Transporter" emblem to replace the Vanagon GL emblem on the rear hatch. Now I can't remember where I saw it. Anyone have an idea?

Eurocampers sells them, or sold them, I know they Caravelle ones are out of stock. If they don't have any more PM me, I have one that was on my westy for about a month before I took it off and replaced it with an Oettinger badge _________________ Markus |

The TRANSPORTER badge for a Van is longer than the one for the doublecab and singlecab trucks.
The shorter version is NLA from VW.

I really want this emblem but I can't find it anywhere. I tried all the classifieds and websites. Is it possible to make a replica somewhere? _________________ 88 Wolfsburg Limited Edition Vanagon GL Tin Top

I purchased mine from The Bus Depot (at least 3 years ago) but I believe they've sold out. Might be worth a call to Ron though... |

I Googled....transporter badges and up came some information. I didnt browse through the listings but there seemed to be a few places in the UK. Tracking down parts and pieces is part of the fun of owning a Vanagon/Westy/Transporter Good luck |

Don't forget that there are van and truck versions and they don't fit each other. |

Yes! You are correct. The "TRANSPORTER" emblem on my single cab is shorter in length than the one that fits on the rear hatch of a Vanagon.
My invoice from the Bus Depot says I purchased it on 10/9/07 for $30.35. The BD stock number for the Vanagon style emblem is J13681. I'll check the back of it for a VW part number tomorrow. |

I do but I'll need a few minutes to pry it from its hiding place.
What did VW call this color? Was it "Blauer Blitz"? |
