Hi All. I originally posted this in the crazy 8's thread but it fell off the front page very fast and I think was mostly overlooked so here it is again (sorry).

Im busy building a new rear seat upper and Im after some help. Does the rear seat profile on a 58 (the bulb of the seat back) match that of the centre or front seat? My middle and front seats are perfect but Ive got nothing to go on for the rear seat as all I had left was a pile of ferous dust. What can you tell me? If its the same as either one of these Im home and hosed, if not....

Thanks

Im after the actual curvature of the back rest from top to bottom, the bulge out, so to speak. The front seat bulge is different to the middle seat bulge - so Im hoping the back seat shape is the same as one of them.

I managed to build the rest of the frame up from photos and scraps that were floating around inside the cover. I have new NO-SAG springing and all I have to do now is bend them to shape the backrest to the correct curve. Jerry could you have a look and tell me if the curve is even all through or bulged out at the bottom and slender at the top. If its exactly the same as your front one?
Cheers and Thanks

Sometime in '57 all three seats started being a "dished" shape instead of the flap backrest. As far as I know all three seats changed at the same time, although I'm sure there are bound to be some inconsistancies.
