| I have a 1960 Beetle. My fuel tank is good, but the 60 and older tanks seem to be hard to come by. What other newer tanks will fit physically in the hole? WIll the 61-67 tanks bolt right in? Any info will be helpful for everyones future reference, even if it doesnt apply to my situation. Thanks |

The '61 and newer tanks are physically bigger lengthwise. They simply will not fit in the older cars unless you make the hole in the body larger.
If I'm not mistaken, the fuel tanks from '52-'55 will fit without modifications to the car if one can't find the proper '56-'60 humped tank.
