in 2004 i drove to abilene, texas to look at a ghia in a junkyard. i needed a bit of a left rear quarter panel but the guy insisted i take a really big chunk. when sawing thru the panel behind the rear glass, the sawall really bogged down. i leaned in and looked at a "secret panel" that was screwed to a square tubing frame that had been welded in.

i wonder how many pounds of dope drove across the border in there? Cool
kinda like the ghia in the new starsky and hutch movie.

while I concur with allegedly, the drugs theory is more plausible than say, smuggling diamonds or something, considering cocaine for example is worth more for its weight than gold per ounce, after all, someone went through a lot of trouble to make the compartment, I doubt it was to carry their life savings

That car was beautiful. I about crapped when they shot at the trunk, but was relieved there weren't any bullet holes.

No, the holes won't disappear.

Here are some other screenshots from later in the film:

Either way, you can tell they're fake. IIRC, when they shot the hood it flew open. Ghias don't do that, last I recall. Confused
